Chonky Gingerbread felt brooch
I’ve made a chunky Ginger bread felt brooch for my sister’s birthday gift with her initial “N” in her fav colour, yellow! I hope she loves it because I do so much!
カレーライス🍛
I chance upon Kenji Endo song about curry rice. Such a vibe 💖, i love it. I couldn’t resist and found his used LP from Discogs and got it shipped from VDS London. May be we’ll listen to his song while eating curry rice. We make so many curry rice plates in this house 😊 coz its my husband favourite. Go listen to it!
Cheers,
Needling not noodling
I purchased some felt needle packs last year and start making them after being on the box for some months! I love stuff that i could touch or keep like real real physical stuffs! I have tons of small little knick knacks at home that i have to hold my might not to get any but again…… who can resist?
I bought some pack waaaaayyy before like when i was out of college and has some money to spend without feeling guilty! but i always neglected them and never even touch it. Such a waste! i regret that, same goes to pack of doll sewing kit. I always attracted by these sewing, embroidering, punch needling stuffs. Its not messy (well messy in certain way when threads got tangled) and its fun to do! I did those too, I hand made pouches as Christmas gifts for my family and friends. I made a whole new pouch and embroider pictures on them!! I miss those time.
So, i am pretty proud when i could finished one panda bear and then another one and another one! They are not perfect and need more practices but I love them still.
Then when I am a bit confident, I made the simplest thing! my little Spyder and a pear :) I love them so much!
Just last weekend, i needle felt this cute little i don’t know what. It is so weird and funny that i love it so much! It intend to be a bunny but then i just go with the flow!
Cheers!
Breathe in and out
I started to do yoga again! I feel so relaxed and light every time I did it. I realised that I never listen to my body carefully. I always thought I am a super active person, who am I kidding. I am okay hmm in the middle. Due to my mild asthma, I can’t do too much exercise not over here. I don’t do well in cold weather too although it gotten better these days it started when we were still in Copenhagen. Day in and out cycling and scooting helps a lot! But nowadays, I feel that yoga is more suitable to me instead of jumping around. But I do miss my Nintendo switch exercise tho! :) May be I could pick it up again sometime soon since husband is back to office and I have the house all for my self!
Btw, if you interested. You could purchase this illustration digitally from my etsy shop :) Link below
Jumping joy
Kids joy is everything! This is a piece I draw based on my little niece 💕
Hey!! I hope you had a splendid weekend! Sending you love if you had less splendid one. Mine wasn’t so great either. I mean, well it is but in the same time not really. You see, me and my husband finally fully vexed!!! So excited! We had to travel to Holmwood to get our second jab. It was just 15 mins train ride and it was kinda cold due to the rain all day but the people in the vaccine centre were so so lovely, my heart feel so warm.
Long story short, not very good because on Sunday about afternoon time we gotten the side effect. We were K.O.! We couldn’t even open our insulated water bottle. So that was a good laugh there and we both just lying on the bed, snuggle in the blanket and I had my warm water pad with me. I felt headache, cold, shiver and almost like fever. But hey!!! we are okay now!! Well almost. I still have a slight headache and sore arm. BUT SO HAPPY!!! Now we can travel to London soon!
Ah, also! I had a fun Japanese lesson arranged by koko Japanese via zoom. Despite the 1 AM zoom call and be all so sleepy, I had so much fun! Do check them out yo! I’ve also being a little bit productive and updated my website :) Tidy them up and putting new stuffs. So rewarding!
We had warm udon for brunch and dinner on Sunday and I’ve made my first mentsuyu. so so rewarding!
Hello, October!
October is here! Is it me or this year passing by so fast? I can’t believe it, we are 3 more months to 2022. Oh! I would hope that next year we could all travel safely and we could finally visit our families or love ones. I sure want to meet my niece before she became all so grown up.
Oh, I’ve made an October phone wallpaper after seeing some artists beautifully made them. I got encouraged to do one too. I hope you enjoy it! Feel free to grab it here.
We love to move it!
It’s been a while since I’ve written this diary. Yes, i’ve decided to call this diary. A friend of mine suggested it. She is helping me currently to write on my bio for work and for market submission in the future. Btw, how are you doing today? I hope everything is well, if not let’s take a break for awhile and regain our strength. It is suuuuper necessary!
So, we (me and my husband) have once again moved to other country! This time we are back in the UK right at a quaint Horsham in West Sussex. It has been 2 months since we moved here but it seems like forever. I’ve been busy with re-opening my Etsy shop. Also, planning and producing new prints / stickers for the shop. If you have not visit my shop here is the link to it :)
Happy Birthday, bebe!
Drew this for my little niece, bebe (Bellamy) for her birthday. She loves it so much she know I drew it for her. My sister, her mom printed it on a t-shirt and its currently her favourite tee!
Hej, friends! Hello from Copenhagen. I hope you are doing well. Just a reminder! Don’t forget to look around you and not only scrolling on your phone! Look around you because happiness is everywhere! Sometimes they disguise as concrete blocks! :)
Ring ring!
Hej, friends! I have something to tell you! I am so happy! After 1 year and so living in Copenhagen, I finally gotten a bike. So, a friend of mine — Sharon recommended me to this place CPH Bike to get my first second hand bike. First time I went there, I was just talking to this guy — Helgi. He helped me to understand what sort of bike is suitable to me, since I AM NOT GOOD AT RIDING BIKE! Also, Sharon told me to get a “grandma” bike. Since I told her that I’ve tried “Lime” bike and I sort of loving it. My second visit to the bike store, Helgi let me try on this bike and I immeditely loves it! So, he told me to come back again and try the next time after he vamp the bike for me and if I like it, the bike is mine!
So, I went back again yesterday and I LOVE IT!! For the very first time, I rode from the bike shop to home and alone! So so proud of myself! Another achievement unlock! Can’t wait to bike around the city and hunt some beautiful places!
It was a bliss
Hej, friends! How was your weekend? Mine was relaxing and fun! It’s a turn for me and owl to visit our friend’s and play boardgames. We played 2 boardgames and Mario Kart! It was fun and I was slightly more convince to get Stardewvalley now after they showed me their game. It has been on my list but not sure if I’d get it or not. But may be next month! Since, I would like to finished my book, doing my illustrations hah! I need not another distraction. Even without one, I am already get distracted a lot. 🙈🙈🙈
I also spent my weekend continuing Killing Commendatore at our lovely balcony (the best part of our apartment, I’ll be missing it if one day we move away!) The sunlight was so good yesterday and I did a little praying and put up incense. It was a bliss. I wish spring weather coming real soon. It is still quite chilly out there.
it's okay to take a break
Hej, friends! How are you today. So, I am officially taking a break from Danish language class. It is sad to partways with my lovely classmates but well I feel like I need to re adjust my focus to my illustrations. Last year, I was lucky enough to be able to set up my etsy shop properly and had customers around the globe purchasing my work. Those means a whole world to me. Being foreigner in this foreign country and have no friends were super scary! But I am glad I braved thru those. My etsy customers play real HUGE part on how I don’t give up and trying to stay motivated to continue to try my best on my illustration. Their lovely words always lifted me up. When someone purchased my artwork, I feel like I have been given an approval that my work speaks to them and I have some how reached my mission which is to put smile on their faces. I hope I can spread more of my work again this year!
Also, yay for two things! Last week I went to try a second hand bicycle, a grandma bike they called it. OMG! I am so proud of myself I am able to ride them good, well could be better! And…. Helgi, the person in-charge of the bike told me that I might be able to try that soon to be my bike on Tuesday (He got it changed and fixed!) I am so excited!!! Secondly, I’ve just received my kindle yesterday!! I LOVE IT! why would I contemplating to get it for YEARSS!! I should have gotten it years back. Now, I am so excited to read lots of book this year! The reason I decided to get kindle now is because, as much as I love physical books, oh! the smell of it and the texture! We will be one day moving back to Singapore and I do not want to part ways with my beloved books again like what happened when I moved in with Adrian / owl (my husband) when we bought our own apartment. Also, English books here in Denmark are quite expensive and last reason is, I’d love to carry them everywhere I go. So, yes! Finally I’ve gotten it. So happy! What are you reading now? Do you have any favourite book? I am currently reading Killing Commendatore by Haruki Murakami. Have you read it? What do you think about it?
Happy International Women's Day!
Hej, friends! Happy International Women’s Day for all of women out there! It took me a while to learn to be proud of being a woman and be happy about it. I used to not understand why it is a very important! I am still in fact, learning to accept a lot of my flaws but I am so so proud to be a woman.
Happi stickers
Hej Friends!! How are you? I had a pretty good week myself. I hope you do too. Copenhagen is slowly opening again but remember to be cautious! It was so good to be able to strolled around, running some errands and catch up with a dear friend over Maple Cinnamon Latte (doesn’t it sounds magical? plus to my surprise it is not sweet! so its a plus point!) and stroll around beautiful Konges Have (King’s Garden) I am so thankful for my etsy customers that supported my little factory every week. Not a big sales but very grateful and every time I sent to new country, I am so happy! The thought of it that your artwork is in many corners of this world. SO AMAZING!
So, last year I invested in a Cricut machine (sad, its not a pink ones but mint is still as pretty) Finally I get a hang of it this time, all THANKS to INTERNET and NICE PEOPLE on the internet!!! I finally get it to work nicely and just had a test run :) so so happy with the result. Look at them!
Happy Lunar New Year 2021
Its a Lunar New Year and its a cow year! So Happy Niu (Cow in Chinese, pun intended) Year! So fast the year has passed by and we are still in a frozen pandemic time. But it always a small ray of light come in even in the darkest place! We shouldn’t frown and give up! Life must go on and we must try to give our best!
Take care and stay well, my friends.
Cheers,
Happisis
long time no see
Hello, friends! How are you! I have been busy lately and also unproductive. I feel guilty to not draw more lately. I need to get back to it again snart! (soon). I have been studying Danish, I passed my module 1 test last month which is a big deal for me and now I am in module 2! So much text and so much grammar. But I’ll do my best. I have also been busy with small tiny exhibition of my artwork and also with other interesting and super talented artists. I feel a little bit out of the realm among their works. But, I am so so stoked! Since this will be my first exhibition and in København!!! I never even imagine it! All thanks to my dear friend Nina to make it happened also my new friend Agniez. They are crazy talented too!
Oh and I have an on-going sort of project for Kuruton . I have been overwhelm with everything I feel.. and also keeping up with my own Etsy shop. Or rather I just feel spoilt and lazy and being unproductive. I have millions excuses but one of it is the changing of season. The cold winter is coming and I just feel so so lazy! I just want to cuddle in my soft soft bed and wrapped in my blanket and watching Netflix.
Anyway, at least it these two months are fruitful :)
Cheers!
First midsomar in Copenhagen
I finally experienced my first mid summer in Copenhagen. All thanks to my dear friend Madli, whom I know from Anaise. She is from Estonia and she invited me to her place, we had good chat, nice music, great summer foods and we had our prettiest flower crowns! First time went to the nature and pluck some flowers, if my mom knew it she’ll be furious.
